Tammy Lynn Rhodes

Tammy Lynn Rhodes, age 56 of Akron passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. A lifelong resident of Akron, Tammy was born to Harry and Phyllis {Perdue} Rhodes, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis, nieces Kaitlynn and Marissa, and Harry (Mary) Rhodes, Sr.

Tammy's memory will always be cherished by her father Harry Rhodes; daughters Melynda (Robert) Rhodes, Myranda (Mark Crouch) Metz and Stevie Metz; grandchildren River, Hunter, Evelyn, Ryder and Elias; sisters Mary (Christopher) Farley and Debbie (Rich) Silvers; nieces Melissa, Megan and Kenzley; nephews Mickey and Jacob.

Tammy loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids. She had a huge heart and cared for others selflessly, creating a clothes closet for folks in need at a local church. Tammy loved music, especially the Beatles. She had a fantastic work ethic, and even as her health declined, her mind never dulled. Tammy's faith was important to her, and she was most recently an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Her talkative and friendly spirit touched many people, and she'll be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family are welcome to visit at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne St. Akron, OH 44312 on Friday, June 4 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass, with Father Michael Williamson officiating.
