Tanya Renee Benson

Tanya Renee Benson, 72, passed away April 14, 2025 after a lengthy illness. For many years she worked as a hairdresser, including at J C Penney at the former Chapel Hill Mall. Tanya enjoyed donating to the homeless via Haven of Rest, music, going to concerts in the park, dining out, visiting the casino, watching movies, going to the theater and spending time with her family.

Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Elmira Jones; brother, Raymond Jones. She will be sadly missed by her children, Tara Renee Benson, Vincent Benson, Jr.; grandchildren, Brandon Benson, Jasmine Benson-Williams; great grandsons, Cameron, Jax; brother, John "Phil" Jones; former spouse, Vincent Benson, Sr.; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
