Tanya Marea' Durham "Toot", 38, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday December 13, 2016. She was a lifetime resident of Akron, OH and a graduate of Buchtel High School Class of 1996.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Pastor Mary L. Stone and great-grandmothers, Goldie Hopson and Cleo Stone. Tonya leaves to cherish her sweet memory, parents, Renee' (Timothy) Holmes; Charles (Cheryl) Stone; children, Tyland Durham and John and Johniyah Battle; brothers, Jason, Jonathan, Joshua and Nehemiah; sisters, Torika and Deborah, all of Akron; grandmother, Bessie Durham of Akron; special aunt, Tanya (Durham) Dubose of Orlando, FL; special friends, Asmar Epps and Sir James McCormick; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 at 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Family will receive friends from 10am until the time of service. Pastor Stacey R. Jenkins officiating. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1076 Tonawanda Ave. Akron, OH 44305.
