Tara Michelle Kinney

Tara Michelle Kinney, 41, passed away on December 14, 2022. She was born on June 21, 1981 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1999. Tara dedicated her life to the service of others and spent the majority of her career as a tech at Summa St. Thomas Hospital.
Tara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, singing in the car, and going on walks. However, her favorite activity was spending time with her son. Jacob was the center of Tara's world and watching him grow up and play baseball was the joy of her life.
She is survived by her son, Jacob Lohrum; parents, David and Peggy Kinney; aunts and uncles, Joyce Whitcraft, Pat (Ann) Fisher, Vivian (Patty) Kinney, James (Stacey) Kinney, and Susan (John) Prelac, and Mike (Jennifer) Evans; many cherished cousins and their children who became nieces and nephews to Tara.
Tara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Marie Kinney, Lois and Leonard Vandersall; and uncle, Harry Whitcraft.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 10:30-12:30 followed by a 12:30 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
