Teresa A. Gordon, age 78 of Ravenna, Ohio, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her home.
She was born on November 27, 1940 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of the late Andy and Helen (nee Glidewell) Riley.
Teresa was a homemaker and she was an active member with her church, City of Refuge. She also enjoyed making ceramics and crafting. She always was cooking and baking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and making sure they were all ok.
Survivors include her children, Frederick Gordon, Jeanette (Robert) Townend, Edward (Valerie) Gordon, and Loretta Gordon; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Jackie (Mike) Daher, also survives.
Other than her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Gordon on December 12, 2014, they were united in marriage on May 4, 1957; her siblings, Betty Lolies and Michael Riley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, where Pastors Roger and Debbie Stevens will celebrate Teresa's life.
Family and friends may visit from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Teresa's memory.
