Teresa May Milan, 83, of Stow, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 1, 2011. She was born in Akron on May 3, 1928 to the late Nick and Teresa Georgephy. She was a longtime member of High Street Christian Church where she belonged to the Dorcas Group, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and assisted in creating the library. She was also active in her children's school PTAs and was a Girl Scout Leader. She retired from Roadway after 30 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed baking and entertaining for family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Milan; sister, Betty McGill; grandson, Matt Nave; and son-in-law, Bill Nave. She will be deeply missed by her children, Joyce Nave, Jayne (Dennis) Brunty, Janis (Larry) Testa, and James (Patty) Milan; brother, Nick (Jean) Georgephy; brother-in-law, Bob McGill; grandchildren, James (Katherine) Nave, Mike (Talia) Callahan, Shelley Callahan (Jonathan Levenson), Marla Testa, Sara Testa, Michael (Lori) Testa, and Danny Milan; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 4 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. At Teresa's request, graveside services will be private.
