Terrence C. Powell I, 56, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2010 after a long illness. He was a member of the East Market St. Church of God, giving his life to the Lord in 2006. Terrence loved being among family and friends, playing chess, and was an avid reading. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Eliza Powell; and mother, Shirley Graham. Terrence is survived by his loving wife and caretaker, Peggy; children, Terrence Burris, Tamika (Finley II) Bramlett, and Terrence C. Powell II; father, Lee (Leatrice) Banks; sisters, Elizabeth "Cricket" Stevons, and Valerie (Benny) Killings; brother, James Graham II; special grandmother, Sallie Britt; special uncle, Silver (LeVerne) Powell; 3 grandchildren; 2 special grandchildren, Maliyah Pierce, and Finley Bramlett III; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Cremation has already taken place per his request. A memorial dinner will take place on Saturday, March 13, at 3 pm at 798 Amherst St. The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Wells and staff, Perkins St. Dialysis Center, and nurses and staff at Akron General and Regency Hospitals.
