Terrence M. Hunt Sr., 65, of New Franklin, passed away on November 9, 2021. Terry was born in Akron on January 15, 1956 to the late William and Frances Hunt. He graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School and spent most of his career as a machinist. In his retirement, Terry began working at Fulton Hardware.
Terry will always be remembered for his helpful personality. He was generous with his time and talents and went out of his way to help anyone in need. He was devoted to his family and had many fond memories of camping and vacations to Punta Cana, Cancun, and the Outer Banks. He loved the outdoors and watching wildlife, particularly the birds in his backyard.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his siblings, Eddie, Maureen, Maggie, and Billy. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Cheryl; sons, Terry (Carol) Hunt Jr., Bob (Eva) Hunt, and Tom (Miriam) Hunt; siblings, Kay (Tom) Spence, Pat (Kathy) Hunt, Jimmy (Cathy) Hunt, and Sharon Gibbs; grandchildren, Cynthia, Ashley, Sebastian, Bailey, Reagan, Aidan, Caitlin, and Connor; best friend, Randy Stegall; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Interment at Manchester Cemetery.
