Terry M. Garkovich

Terry M. Garkovich, 72, of Akron, passed away on March 20, 2022. He was born April 29, 1949 in Garrett, PA and was the son of the late Paul and Bernadine Garkovich. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Bronze Star recipient of the Vietnam War. Terry enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid Cleveland Sports Fan. He had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dori; sister Paula Garkovich; brother Gary Garkovich; brother-in-law Bill Handschumaker; and nephew Mike Butler.
Terry is survived by his sister Linda Handschumaker; John (Barb) Garkovich; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation has already taken place.
Graveside services will be held at Northlawn Cemetery for both Terry Garkovich and Paula Garkovich at a later date.
