He was the best man I've ever known:
Terry C. Lawson, 67, passed away on April 17, 2023 after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer. He was born on November 21, 1955 the son of the late James and Maxine Lawson of Oak Hill, W.V. The family moved and he has lived in Akron most of his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. His favorite job was delivering groceries for Ellet I.G.A. and was known for his care and love toward his customers. Terry loved to fish, play basketball, golf, and play disc golf with family and friends. He also enjoyed going to Casino's and taking long drives in his "orange" car with his beloved wife, Phyllis. Terry was a kind and gentle man with much love in his heart and a caring spirit, he will be missed everyday.
Terry leaves to mourn his loving wife of 25 years, Phyllis; older brother Jim (Georgine) Lawson; baby brother Paul Lawson; nieces Abbie (Mike) Sturm, Angela (Derik) Kaltenbaugh, Laura (Brad) McDonell, Kimberly (Russell) Wills, Tammy (Jason) Smith, Cassidy Lawson, and Anna Marie; nephews Jason (Amanda) Greathouse, Jason (Tara) Weber, Brian (Katie) Lawson, Joseph McGuire, James McGuire, and Brody Gonda; step-son Michael (Candy) Ford; sister-in-law Cheryl Cox (Earl); special friends Mike Cowans and family, Martin Wheeler, Kevin, Pat, Ron, Jim L., Patti, and Jimi; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside Service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44217) on Thursday, April 27th arrival time will be at 10:45am.
