Thelma E. Vargo, 93, of Akron, passed away March 7, 2012. She was born in Akron on October 19, 1918 to the late Theodore and Thora Adkins. She will always be remembered as a strong woman who devoted herself to her children and grandchildren. In her free time, Thelma was an avid reader and enjoyed bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Robert; and grandson, Teddy Jr. She will be deeply missed by her children, Bill (Barbara), Ted, Cheryl, Carol, and Betty (Darrell); sisters, Ruth Stang and Dorothy Matwiju; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Thelma may be made to her family.
