Thelma L. Murphy (Freeman)
Thelma L. Murphy, 72, went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2008. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio and was recently residing in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aimee Barton and Henry Freeman; baby twin daughters, Diana and Phyllis; sister, Patricia Blankenship; and brothers, Elmer Lawrence Freeman and Kyle Dillard Freeman. She is survived by her sons, Roger Murphy (Theresa) and Roy (Diana) Murphy; daughters, Sherrie Workman, Carla (Freddie) Bumbalough, Carmel (John) Bogges, and Donna Mills; sister, Virginia (Peter) Reneson; brother, Dewey (Carolyn) Freeman; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., Pastor Phil Hulgin officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
