Theodore Lampers

Theodore Lampers, 80, (known as Thee to all his family and close friends), passed away peacefully on November 19, 2011. Beloved and devoted son of Nick and Antonia Lampers, is survived by brothers Mike (Beverly), Andy (Norma); cousin Paul (Megan)Tourlis; many nephews, nieces and cousins. A lifelong resident of Akron, Thee graduated from South High School, served in the Army in the Korean War and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 38 years of service. Thee had a passion for sports and movie history and was considered an authority because of his instant recall of statistics and detail. He will be remembered by all as a "giver" who, throughout his life, subordinated his personal needs for the care and comfort of others. He will be missed. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 25, from 11AM to 12PM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with the service following at 12PM. Burial will be at Mt. Peace. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Altercare of Cuyahoga Falls and Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. A special thanks to each of the above and Great Lakes Hospice.
