Theresa Ward went to meet Jesus on August 12, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born in Akron, Ohio on July 11, 1928 and is predeceased by her parents Tito & Nina Bellissimo. She is the youngest of three sisters, survived by Jennie Laconi and Nellie Vitale, along with her family: daughter, Kim Clem (Sam), son, Jim Ward, grandchildren, Theresa Purdy (Dan), Jennifer Baldridge (Derek), Allison Herlong (Jonathan), Kelly Ward (Johnny Rogers), and great-grandchildren, Giuliana, Grant, Leo, and Cecilia.
Theresa lived by faith and was a long-time member of Saint Eugene Parish. She modeled simplicity in her own life, but would give to anyone in need. She loved her family deeply and left them with a lifetime full of happy memories. She enjoyed playing cards and you could always find her in the kitchen making a meal for others, or making you smile with a batch of her Italian cookies. She embodied strength and kindness. Despite battling Alzheimer's disease for the last four years, her sweet spirit and positive outlook on life always remained.
Her family would like to thank Heritage of Hudson for their wonderful care. The family will be holding a private service to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cuyahoga Falls Cancer Club, P.O. Box 3244, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 where Theresa was a long-standing active member, passionate about their cause.
We are heartbroken to no longer have her here with us, but live with full confidence we will see her again in the glory of God. -Ephesians 3:12
