Theresia Ann Canterbury, 48, of Akron, passed away May 16, 2007. Theresia was born in Kittery, Maine on February 13, 1959 and moved to the Akron area in 1967. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1977 and earned a Bachelor's of Education from the University of Akron in 1982. She worked in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Akron for 13 years. She was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple, where she taught Sunday School. Theresia was preceded in death by her father, Arden Cooper. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Shelby and Kayla Canterbury; mother, Ingeborg Cooper; brother, Kenneth (Karen) Cooper; sister, Barbara Carr; and nieces, Kristy (Chris) and Vicky (Ken); nephew, Jason; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating.
