Thomas E. Brown

Thomas E. Brown, 53, passed away suddenly on April 18, 2006. Tom was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and also the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Farming was his passion. Tom took great pride in his pumpkins, cantaloupes, vegetables, and particularly his sweet corn! He was devoted to his wife, parents, family, and especially his grandchildren. Tom mentored many young adults; he taught them the value of a hard days work. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and generosity. Survivors include his parents John H. and Rita Brown; his wife Margaret "Peggy"; daughter Tasha Adkins; stepchildren Joy (Bart) Brubach and Matthew (Stephanie) Mitchell; sister Barbara A. Brown; brother George L. (Becky) Brown; grandchildren Dade Brubach, Ariana Mitchell, and Tori Adkins; nephews John and Matthew Brown; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched. Calling hours will be Friday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church.
