Thomas F. "Dudeman" Canavan, 73, passed away January 31, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Akron, Ohio to Frank and Peggy (Cogdeill) Canavan, he was a lifelong area resident. Tom enjoyed teaching karate, working on vintage muscle cars, Bruce Lee movies, all things Elvis, visiting with friends at Acme and spending time with his family and friends.
Tom will be sadly missed by his daughters, Marisa (Jason) Turner, Vanessa Canavan; grandchildren, Alyssa (Zach) Pruitt, Zach (Katie) Young, Landen Rowe; great grandchildren, Henry Young, Aurelia Pruitt; siblings, Pat Canavan, Margaret Conley, Mary Lewis, Marie Welch, Peggy Mollohan, Joan Davis, Mike Canavan, Frank Canavan; many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a celebration of Dudeman's life on February 21, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Goodyear Heights Lodge, 2077 Newton St., Akron, Ohio 44305. Dinner and refreshments will be served. Please bring your favorite Dudeman story to share. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace House Hospice.
