Thomas Francis Cole, 76, of Akron disembarked on heavenly shores on May 5, 2024.
He was born in Akron to Margaret {Gard} and Edward Cole. Thomas was a graduate of East High School and the University of Akron (BSBA). He was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. As a member of Akron First Assembly, he served his Lord in numerous capacities over the years including the Board of Directors and Royal Ranger ministry.
His experiences in industrial sales took him from Blair Process (Tallmadge) to Mooney Process (Cleveland) to Akron Gasket (Tallmadge). Self-employment continued his passion for sales into his retirement years.
As a dearly beloved husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loretta; his son Nathan; his daughter-in-love Jeselynn Hawkins and two adoring grandpups. Thomas' personality and integrity endeared him to all whose lives he touched.
All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday, May 9th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Larrison officiating. Interment with well-deserved military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Thomas will be laid to rest.
