Thomas E. Cathel
Thomas E. Cathel, 83, of Suffield, passed away on January 21, 2016. He was raised in Belington, WV to the late Ressie and Mitchel Cathell. He was a retired Teamster Truck Driver. Tom loved playing and watching sports and also had a great love for animals. There was not a sport that he could not excel in. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his "buddies" at the Hartville Flea Market. Tom made friends wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by wife, Nancy D. Cathel; son in-law, Kenneth L. White; sons, Steven C. Cathel and Tommy E. Cathel Jr.; and brother, Richard Cathell. Tom is survived by son, James A. Chadima; daughters, Nancy L. Cathel and Vicky M. White; granddaughters, Heather M. (Andy) Hopp, Shana (Josh) Little, and Robin Chadima; great-granddaughters, Iliana and Aurora Hopp; brother, Bobby Cathell; sister, Helen Jordan; and special friend, Opal Wagner; and a host of extended family.
Family will receive friends on Thursday January 28, 2016 from 11-2pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Interment West Richfield Cemetery.
