Thomas H. Boyle, 59, of Akron, passed away November 24, 2011. Thomas was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on July 31, 1952 to the late John and Veronica Boyle. He was self-employed for 20 years. Thomas devoted much of his free time to coaching softball. He was involved in softball, baseball, and basketball programs in Ellet and the softball program at St. Vincent-St. Mary and he headed the Ohio Lightning travel softball organization. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and brothers, Dennis and Jack Boyle. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 28 1/2 years, Pamela; children, Shawn, Jesse, and Jenna Boyle; sisters, Linda Marshall and Margaret Rittenhouse; mother-in-law, Sophie Balk; brothers-in-law, John, Jeff, and Bob Engstrom; granddaughters, Nikki, Kirsten, Caitlyn, and Quinn; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Sunday November 27 from 3-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tom's family.
