Thomas Daniel Holder

Thomas Daniel Holder, "Tom", age 78 of Akron, Ohio, died unexpectedly on January 28, 2023.
He was born on March 25, 1944 in Canton, Ohio, the son of the late Louis Alexander and Mary Alice (nee Duff) Holder.
Tom was an extremely hard worker, working at Hoover Company for over 35 years and retired from Good Will. He, first and foremost, took care of his family. He made sure his children did not go without.
He loved to hike, camp, watch sports, collect corvettes and was an avid walker, he also raised Beagles and did field trials with them.
Survivors include his only daughter, Brittany (Zacharia "Zach") Recklaw; his step-children, George "Corky" (Lori) Humbert, James "Randy" (Debbie) Humbert, Vicki (Josiah) Jones and Nicole Fye; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His sister, Nancy Tiffany, also survives.
Other than his parents, Tom was preceded in death by three siblings.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
Family and friends may visit from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Tom will be buried at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
