Thomas Marshall Bell
Thomas Marshall Bell, 80, of Akron, passed away January 1, 2009. Marshall was born in Akron on July 24, 1928. He was a Buchtel High School graduate and received his music education degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 1958. He served in the Korean War from 1951 1953. Marshall taught voice at Empire Junior High in Cleveland and Goodrich Junior High in Akron. He was the choir director at First Methodist/Margaret Park Presbyterian and was a bass soloist at First Presbyterian Church in Akron for 25 years. He retired from FirstMerit and National City Bank. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Evelyn Bell; daughters, Nancy (Bruce) Dunaway, Cathy (Mike) Chapin, and Deborah (David) Morris; son, Marshall R. Bell; grandsons, Eric and Kyle Chapin and Andrew Davis; and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 4th at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 647 E. Market St., Akron. The family requests no flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Of Summa or the First Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund.
