Thomas Robert Mervine
Thomas Robert Mervine, 47, of Akron, passed away November 3, 2006. Tom proudly served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was employed by Keebler's and had worked for National Metal Abrasives for 21 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, and listening to rock music. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed bowling and was very proud of his 300 game. Tom will always be remembered for his love of life, his good heart, and his wonderful sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Mervine; uncle, Robert Mervine; brother, Michael Mervine; and Charles J. Brooke. He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Brooke; siblings, John Mervine, Cathy Mervine, Debra Mervine, Brenda (Greg) Might, Debbie (Jeff) Sunderland, Jack Brooke, and David Brooke. Tom also leaves his fiancee, whom he thought of as his wife, Mary Wickline, and her children, Paul, Shane, and Philip Wickline; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Terry Baker officiating.
