Thomas W. Norris

Thomas W. Norris, 87, passed away on March 30, 2009. He was born in Big Lick, TN to the late James and Sallie Norris on December 23, 1921. Thomas served with the US Army and US Marines during WWII. He enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Velma; brothers Lon, Arthur, Charlie; and sisters Lillian, Ellen, Mattie, Pauline, and Ethel. Survivors include his daughters Brenda Norris and Jo (David) Obermiller; sons Jim (Patricia), Tom (Sue), Robert (Sharon), Bill (Shirley), Jeff (Debbie), and Mark; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
