Thomas W. Henrick

Tom Henrick, 49, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 28. He was born July 25, 1959 in Lakewood, Ohio. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Joan Henrick. He is survived by his sisters, Margie, Jen, Sue and Annie; brothers, Pat, Michael and Rob; nieces, Sarah and Stephanie; nephews, Jeremy, Sean and Wesley; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was a 1975 graduate of Woodridge High School in Cuyahoga Falls. He was an avid reader and spent much of his time in the library. He also enjoyed attending masses at St. Augustine Church in Barberton and St. Bernard Church in Akron. Tom was a baseball fan and particularly liked going to Canal Park for Aero's games. "We will miss our brother and will remember him for his independent, self reliant free spirited nature. In our hearts we are at peace because he has been reunited with our parents." Cremation has taken place. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 – 6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at Northampton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E.
