Thornington James Moon III, "Rev Jim" or "Jimmy", age 51 of Akron, Ohio died unexpectedly on May 16, 2021.
He was born on December 3, 1969 in Akron, the son of Thornington Moon Jr, with whom he lived, and Margaret (nee Trego) (Ron) Whitecotton of Tallmadge.
Jimmy worked at GoJo since 2015 as a supervisor. He enjoyed riding his Harley, loved to fish and went four wheeling. He loved to watch #4 in NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, other survivors include his companion, Rebecca Wellman; his children, Julie (Brandon Herston) Moon, Steven Moon and James Moon; his granddaughter, Avery Moon Herston; his siblings, Michael (Heather) Moon, Shannon Nay, Racquel (Mike) DeRose, Teresa (Mark) Gajkowski, Heidi Moon and Amy (Rich) Rebovich.
There will a Celebration of Life at a later date.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
