Thurl F. Harris Jr., "JR", age 70 of Hartville, Ohio, passed away from cancer with his family by his side, on September 15, 2021.
He was born on July 26, 1951 in Akron, the son of the late Thurl and Ruby Harris Sr.
Mr. Harris worked for 36 years as an over the road truck driver. When he was not in the truck, he spent time in West Virginia hunting, but lived to ride and road to live his precious motorcycles.
He was a BIG TIME FAMILY MAN AND DEVOTED SON. He was also a well loved father and grandfather and will be forever missed. He is survived by his fiance, Kathy Vestal; and his two daughters, Tina (Ron) Pownall and Toni (Shane)) Longauer; his four grandchildren, Kadence, Addison, Caridee and Colton.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the funeral home.
