Timmy L. Hogan
Timmy L. Hogan was born on March 25, 1961 in Dickson, Tennessee to the late Willie Lee Hogan and Corrine Hogan - Young. Timmy departed this life on August 26, 2006 at Summa Health System. He accepted Christ as a young man and chose The Abundant Life Center as his place of worship under the leadership of Dr. Ron Stevens and Associate Pastor, Lanette Williams. Timmy attended the Akron Public Schools, graduating from Buchtel High School. He held jobs at Egg Castle, A Little Corner Store, North Hampton Auto Company, managed H & H Carryout, and was a construction worker until he retired recently due to failing health. Besides spending time with his children and family, he was a certified foster parent. Tim loved to travel and ran a tour bus known as T & T Travels. Timmy was preceded in death by father, Willie L. Hogan; step-father, Albert Hamilton, Sr.; brother, Albert Hamilton, Jr.; and recently, special uncle, Robert L. Hogan (Sweet Pea). He leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Corrine (Harris) Young; brothers, Willie L. Hogan, Jr. and twin Jimmy (Janella) Hogan of Akron; sisters, Kimberly Hamilton of Akron OH, Eva Marie, Tina and Tonya all of New York and June of Dickson TN; sons, Jason of Akron, Michael (Viona) and Joshua, both of Atlanta GA; daughters, Shanta, Tia and Mary of Akron OH, and Capri of Atlanta GA; grandchildren, Elliot, Jayla, Ellionna, Jayonta, Cedric, Tramon, Myionne, Wayne Jr., Lil Jason Jr.; extended children, Antoinette, Tymeca, Desiree, JayMeisha, Talynt, Jazzimine, Dayshana and Deon; sisters-in-law, Lori and Tammy; aunts, Geneva Reddick, Lillie Gooden, Jane Potts, Shirley Johnson, Mary Edmondson; uncles, Less (Dottie) Edmondson, Earl Lee Edmondson, Douglas (Sandra) Edmondson, Harvey (Marynell) Edmondson, Henry (Lynn) Hogan; great-uncle, Billy Hogan of Columbus OH; nieces, Tamicka (Lanaira, Leo) Cora (Amora), Kim (J.J.), Nicole (Claiborne, Camron), Pebbles, Ashly; nephews, Phil (Phil Jr.), Brian (Lil Brian), Curtis, Albert, Calvin, Johnae, Jayenna, Antonio Jr.; special cousins, Mary Reddick and Linda Corlew (Big Sister); ex-wife, Charlene Fry-Hogan; special friends, Tara and Lonnie; a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Pastor Lanette Williams and his family at The Abundant Life Center, Rev. Merryweather, Ridgewood Nursing staff, the doctors, nurses, and staff at Summa Health System, Kim Platt of Universal Nursing, and everyone who sent prayers and donations. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Friday until the service begins.
