Timothy S. James, "Tim", age 61 of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Pebble Creek Nursing Home.
He was born on October 30, 1956 in Akron, the son of Carrie (nee Tharp) James of Hartville and the late William R. James.
Tim was a 1975 graduate of Springfield High School. Mr. James was a locksmith and an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his brothers, Douglas James, David (Missy) James, and Jeffrey (Terri) James; his sister-in-law, Janet James; his long-time friend, Robert Higgins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Other than his father, Timothy was preceded in death by his brother, William Richard "Dick" James.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM, where Pastor Gary Smith will celebrate Tim's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Timothy will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
