Timothy George Wood, "Tim", age 72 of Akron, Ohio, died on January 2, 2021 at the home of his grandson in Akron.
He was born on September 19, 1948 in Akron the son of the late Arthur Donald and Lola Sara (nee Liller) Wood.
Tim was an honorably discharged US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Tim liked to ride his Harley, vacation and gamble. He was a huge jokester, loving to make people laugh and feel good about themselves.
Survivors include his only daughter, Shelly Wood; his grandson, Brandon Wood; his great-grandchildren, Myles, Melina, Lily and Bryson. Also surviving are his two sisters, Janice Wood and Cindy Wood; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Donald "Butch" Wood.
There will not be any services or calling hours and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron
