Tina M. Fogel (Courie)

Tina Marie Fogel passed away at the age of 58 on August 10, 2017 in Perry Township, Ohio.

Tina was born on May 3, 1959 in Akron, Ohio to George Wayne and Barbara Courie. Tina grew up with five siblings and she spent much of her childhood reading and enjoying school. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1978. She worked at Fishers Food in Canton for the last 20 years, she also served in the Army Reserves from 1982-1988 as a Chaplain Assistant.

She was the proud mother of Craig and devoted grandmother of Emma.

Tina was preceded in death by her son George Wayne "Little George," mother Barbara; fathers George Wayne and William Courie; grandparents Rodney (Laura) Sands and Fred (Vivian) Courie, and brother George.

Tina is survived by her son Craig Fogel; granddaughter Emma Geddes; mother Thelma Courie; sisters Julia Myers, Denise Goetz, Paula Apley, Dierdra Smith and many extended family members.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends will also be received on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 11 am until time of funeral service at noon at the funeral home. Graveside service will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Go Fund Me, Tina Fogel's Memorial.
