Tom Shaffstall

Tom Shaffstall, 86, passed away December 19, 2020 with his wife by his side. He was born in Ashland, Ohio in 1934 to Jay and Daisy (Hinkle) Shaffstall. Tom spent his entire life enjoying printing, vacations with friends, breakfast club and softball, where he made many lifelong friends. He worked for Garber in Ashland, Crane Howard Lithograph and Hiney Printing. Tom played fastpitch for many years. He also played slowpitch with the Akron Silver League and coached well into his 80's. Tom was inducted into the Akron Softball Hall of Fame. He was so kind and never had a bad word for anyone.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn; sons, Bob (Dakota), Bart (Barb), Jay (Lisa), and their mother, Joyce; stepdaughter, Kelly (Jerry); grandchildren, Tony (Samantha), Jason, Dante, Amelia; great granddaughter, Zoey.

Per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
