Tonia R. Booth (nee Hayes)

Tonia R. Booth (nee Hayes), 41, loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and mother is celebrating her freedom from pain with Jesus today. Surrounded by family, at home, Tonia passed away peacefully on March 29, 2012.

Tonia's beautiful blue eyes will be forever remembered as they danced with her love for life. She enjoyed reading, watching wrestling, and motorcycle riding, but her greatest passion in life was her family. Her hard-headed stubbornness directed her valiant three year fight with cancer. She will be remembered for her courage and strength by all who knew her.

Employed by Akron Public Schools as a librarian, Tonia touched the lives of many Findley students and staff.

Left to cherish her memories are husband, Duane Booth; children, Brandon and Katie Booth; stepson, Justin Booth; mother, Sheila Snyder; father, Russell (Lori) Hayes; sisters, Tina (Mark) Yerian and Kerri (Donovan) Conley; brothers, Jay (Julie) Willard and John Ware; 11 nieces and nephews; partners-in-crime, Bart and Susan; and a host of others.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday, April 2, from 4 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron City Hospital Cooper Cancer Center, 161 N. Forge St., Akron, OH, 44309.
