TONY MAIONE


Tony Maione, 73, passed away July 30, 2001. Born in Krebs, Oklahoma, Tony was a 50 year resident of Tallmadge. A WWII veteran, he retired from General Tire after 30 years of service, spending the remainder of his years surrounded by family, enjoying life's simple pleasures. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Hembree) Maione; children, Debby (Billy) Blankenship, Ralph Maione, Mary Ellen (Mark) Coates, Tammy Duben, and Daniel (Valerie) Maione; grandchildren, Jill, Jodi (Billy), Jami, Anthony, Rachel, Emily, Allison, Jimmy, Tyler, Sean, and a new grandchild due to arrive in January; great-granddaughter, Isabelle, and a new great-grandchild due to arrive in February; brother, Angelo Maione; sisters, Carrie Neale and Amelia Annis; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Maione; brothers, Louis, Nick, and Dominic. His fierce love of family and his wife's selfless devotion and tireless care sustained him throughout many years of illness. Tony's enduring humor, quick wit, and brave spirit will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Tony, a husband, a dad, a grandpa, and friend, will be deeply missed by all. Friends and family may call at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. on Wednesday, August 1st from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory in Tallmadge. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park with Appleman V.F.W. 3294 and American Legion 281 providing military honors.
