Torrance Darnell Demark Gordon Sr., age 49, passed away suddenly on December 11, 2021 at Barberton Hospital. Torrance was the husband of Mary Gordon who shared 10 years of partnership.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, on March 26, 1972, Torrance was the son of the late Julia and William Gordon Sr.
Torrance was a proud member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Torrance enjoyed the sound of Pastor Jimmie K. Rodger's voice on Sundays. His favorite thing was spending time with family. Family was everything to Torrance!
Torrance was known for being a strong, supportive, caring and compassionate man.
Other than his parents, Torrance was preceded in death by his sister, Antoineen Gordon Brown.
In addition to his loving wife, Mary, he is survived by his children, Tierra Snipes, DeMari, Timothy and Torrance Jr.; blended love children, Elliott, Ellionna, Cedric, Cedriyon and John; his siblings, Timothy, Marvantionette, Jacqueline, Terrance (Toni), Maxine, Torrey and William (Joy) Jr; his grandchildren, Lania, Tyler and Krystipher; godchildren, Destonie, Juliean and Ja'el; special daughter, Nicole Gordon Cooper; best friend, Charlie Murray; and special caregivers and family, Corrine Young, Tia Davis, Tavia Green and Willie Hogan.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Jimmie K. Rodgers will celebrate Torrance's life.
Everyone may visit prior to the service from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the funeral home on Sunday.
