Truman Lee Hixenbaugh

Truman "Lee" Hixenbaugh, 64, of Akron, passed away January 25, 2002 at Akron General Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1937 in Morgantown WV to the late Arthur & Maude (Gidley) Hixenbaugh. Lee Hix was a veteran having served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He was also a skilled musician. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Helen Young. He is survived by his wife of 14 1/2 years, Erma Hixenbaugh of Akron; step-daughter Wanda Keefer of Akron; step-sons Monte Porter III, Bryan Porter both of Akron; sister Lela Stader of Toledo; brother Charles Hixenbaugh of Toledo; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews all of Toledo. Friends may call Sunday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Campbell officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
