Vada M. Haney

Vada Marguerite Haney, 93, of Akron, passed away July 12, 2013. She was born in Akron, OH on October 1, 1919 to the late Carl and Nettie Poole.

She was preceded in death by her much loved son, David, and daughter-in-law, Judy.

Marg is survived by her daughters, Barb (Tom) Fox and Beverly Haney; numerous grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great- grandchildren, including beloved grand-daughters, Missy (Bob) Yost and Jamie (Richard) Banozic.

The family would like to thank the outstanding staff at AGMC, not only for the exceptional care our mother and grandmother received, but also for the compassion shown to our family during this difficult time. A special thank you is given to her son-in-law, Tom, for his unwavering devotion to our beautiful mother and grandmother, for without him, her ability to remain independent, and in her own home, would have been an impossibility.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 16, from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
