Valerie S. Reeves, 43, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2006. Valerie graduated from Field High School in 1981 and was employed by Rufener Trucking. Valerie recently earned her CDL. She enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Pauline Mitchell and Carl and Marge Rufener, Sr. She is survived by her children whom she loved dearly, Jason Reeves and Jenna Reeves, both of Ellet; DuPont (the dog); granddaughters, Taelor and Tarynn Reeves; parents, Ernie and Flo Rufener; brothers, Bill (Val), Bob (Melissa), David (Becky) and Danny Rufener; sisters, Cathi (Chappy) Rufener-Freeland and Jacqui (Joe) Testa; eight nieces and ten nephews. She also leaves her best friends, Darla, Lori, and Nan along with "the girls", and special friend, Mark Reeves. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. On Friday, October 6 a celebration of life will be held at the Suffield Lions Park from 5 p.m., bring your best stories.
