Velda G. Wuchich

Velda G. Wuchich, 92, was reunited with her beloved husband, Mike, on December 27, 2011. Velda retired from Pepsi Cola after 25 years of service. She enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, and shopping. Preceded in death by her husband, Mike, of 62 years; sister, Mabel; brother, Merle; and numerous close friends. Survivors include daughters, Merle Ann (Sidney) Blankenship and Karen Wuchich (Deda Kern); brother, Dale (Chris) Hetrick; grandchildren, Mike (Evelyn) Kittle, Gary (Janice) Kittle, Dana Kittle (Charles Cielensky), and Jerry (Angie) Blankenship; 8 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Dorothy Collins and Marie Weese. Special thanks to Barb and all who helped out while she was at Pebble Creek Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
