Vernell Hall, 96, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Falls Village Nursing Home surrounded by family. She was born on September 9, 1922 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Albert T. and Martha B. (nee Wahler) Sidehamer.
Vernell was a true chocolate lover that also enjoyed drinking Coke-a-Cola. She was a lifelong Steelers fan. She had a feisty personality that always filled the room with laughter. She had a love for pink flamingos and warm weather.
Vernell was preceded in death by her husbands, Wade D. Hall (1979), and Ted E. Haney (1943); sons, Joe Hall(1984), and Tom Hall (2013); sisters, Jeanette Longanecker and Lorane Snair.
She is survived by her sister, Odele Frankhouser, of 101 years of age; sons, Paul Hall of Cuyahoga Falls, and Gregg (Joan) Hall of Tallmadge; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Dena) Hall, Kristy (Donald) Britt, Michael (Alexis) Hall, Matthew Hall, Benjamin Hall, Anna Hall, and Leah Hall; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are welcome to visit on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 1pm until 3pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305.
