Vernice M. Shelton (Brookover)

Vernice M. Shelton (Brookover), 78, of Akron, passed away July 7, 2001. Vernice was born in Sistersville, WV and graduated from Sistersville High School in 1941. She had lived most of her life in the Akron area. Vernice was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful and caring person and will be sadly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Dolly; brothers, George, Claire and William; sister Verchie Laugh. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William; sons, Dennis (Tina) of Florida, David (Trisha) of Nebraska, William and Phillip, both of Akron; daughters, Mylinda (Matt) Reusser of Sardis and Melanie Barr of Stow; sisters, Ethel Manley and Mary Kathryn (Jack) Lauck, both of Sistersville; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. All services will be private.
