Vernon E. Troyer, Jr., 51, of Lake Township, passed away March 22, 2008 at Akron City Hospital. He was born in Akron, Ohio on March 12, 1957. Vernon was employed by Taylor TeleCommunications as an Installation Supervisor. He was a devoted husband, father, son and grandfather who was full of life and loved people. In his free time, he loved the outdoors, camping and more than anything, spending quality time with his family. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline L. Troyer; and brothers, David and Larry Troyer. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Deborah L. (Hayes) Troyer; father, Vernon E. Troyer, Sr.; daughter, Angie L. Troyer; sons, Kevin (fiancé Leah), Brian and Matthew (Miranda); grandson, Carter; brothers, Kenneth (Betty) and Ricky (Janice). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
