Vicky Ann Lyons, 81, of Akron, passed away on June 2, 2024. She was born on May 21, 1943, to the late Eric Dennis and Evelyn {Lowder} Miller.
In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her brother-in-law William Summerville.
On June 5, 1965, she married John W. Lyons. He survives, along with their sons John W. "Jay" Lyons, Jr. and Darren Lyons; dad Richard Miller; sisters Susan Summerville and Virginia Miller; granddaughter Alyssa; grandson Samuel; numerous extended family members and friends.
Vicky graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Education from Penn State University, and went on to earn her Masters in Education from The University of Akron. Her teaching career began with Akron Public Schools, and she retired from Green Public Schools in 2003.
Per Vicky's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be planned for a later time.
