Vicky Lynn Werny, 66, passed away October 12, 2023 after an extended illness. She resided in the Akron, Ohio area most of her life and previously worked as an executive secretary at Summa Barberton. Vicky enjoyed her dogs, watching soap operas, crafting, going to Hawaii and spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Jean (Black) Uphold, she will be sadly missed by her husband of 37 years, Larry Werny; children, Brian (Megan) Taylor, Amber Luke, Jason (Sarah) Werny; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Sue (David) Lemley, Wendell Uphold, Linda (David) Palmer, Karen Kroft, Jerry (Melba) Uphold; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Vicky's name to the American Cancer Society.
