Victoria Thomas

Victoria Thomas, 91, passed away on April 8, 2022. She was born in a log cabin at Beechy Branch, West Virginia on October 3, 1930 the daughter of the late Garfield and Georgia Nelson. Victoria worked for 19 years at Gore's Grocery. She was a woman of faith and was a member of West Logan Missionary Baptist Church. Victoria was always helping others in any way possible, giving generously of herself and her time. She will always be remembered for her loving and compassionate heart, great sense of humor, and her warm smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Leslie Fortner; beloved husband Lee E. Thomas; son Tom Thomas; siblings Odell, Myrtle, and Beatrice; and niece Judy Nelson.
Victoria is survived by her daughters Martha (Chuck) Hastings, Gina (Steve) Kimball, Cindy Thomas and Diane Thomas; granddaughters Abby Hastings and Jenny Hastings; brother James (Lois) Nelson; nephews Shawn (Linda) Edwards, and Glenn (Deb) Nelson; niece Debbie (John) Little, Mary Beth (Perry) Wood; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Friday (April 15) at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery in WV.
