Violet P. Herr passed away on May 15, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born January 10, 1926 to Roman and Mary Perusich. She graduated from Akron Garfield High School in 1944.
During WWII, Violet worked for the Navy Department at Goodyear Aircraft. Subsequent employment included Yeager's Department Store and Bankers Guarantee Title and Trust Company until she married William Herr who passed away in 2013.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow, the Croatian Fraternal Union, and a past member of Silver Lake Country Club.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, John Perusich, twin brother, William Perusich, and sister, Mary Perusich.
Violet leaves behind her loving children, Barbara, Barry, and Mary Ellen Herr, and a niece, Donna Wiler, and nephew, William Paul Perusich.
A private funeral Mass and burial has taken place.
Funeral services were entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
