Violet P. Murray

Violet P. Murray, 74, passed away June 27, 2005 at Hope House in Cuyahoga Falls. She was born March 29, 1921 in Tennessee and moved to Akron in 1941. She began to work at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and retired in 1976 because of a disability. Violet was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ora Murray; brother, Richard Murray; and sister, Lela Moses. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. with Rev. Tom Heinlein officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. Thursday until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope House, 2836 Kent Rd., Cuyahoga Falls OH 44224. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Penny Starcher of Hope House for her excellent, loving care.
