Virginia M. Bowles

Virginia M. "Peggy" Bowles, 85, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2021. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia to George and Nellie (Larew) Stottlemire, she resided in Tallmadge, Ohio all of her adult life. She greatly enjoyed cooking, crafting, watching her daytime soaps while drinking coffee and spending time with her beloved family. Throughout her life she was devoted to taking care of her kids and grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Jack; son, Jim; siblings, Bud, Dorsey, Bill, and George Stottlemire, Johnny Larew, Donna Melton. She will be sadly missed by her children, Bob, Jack (Gina), Don (Bonnie), Barry (Kathy), Barb (Wayland) Hicks; grandchildren, Dwan, Jesse, Shaina, Casey, Jack, Lisa, Laura, David, Brittany, Ashley, Joey, Stephanie; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; siblings, Margarett (Denver) Casto, Betty (Eddie) Ridgeway, Charlie Stottlemire; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Thursday, January 13 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tallmadge Cemetery.
