Virginia Brustoski, 82, of Akron, passed away April 27, 2010. Virginia was born in Akron on February 17, 1928 to the late Ben and Anna Haliko. She graduated from East High School and married Stanley Brustoski on January 27, 1952. They were happily married until his death on November 14, 1997. Virginia was also preceded in death by her sisters, Nellie Szymanski, Helen Ceglar, and Lillian Mino; and brother, John Haliko. Virginia will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her children, Stanley Brustoski, Jr., Daniel Brustoski (Debbie Badgett), Debora (Bill) Brettschneider, and Michael (Janine) Brustoski; sister, Kathryn Scarpitti; grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Karla, Michael, Emma, and Ellie; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Jonathan, Zachary, and Ava; many nieces and nephews including special niece, Karen Humbert. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
