Virginia K. Thompson "Mama", 87, always the lady, passed away February 22, 2007. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Don R. and grandson, Scott D. Ramey. She is survived by her children, Don R. Thompson, Jr. and LouJuana "Wannie" Thompson; grandchildren, Don R. Thompson III, Tracy (John) Goodyear, Dana (Lisa) Thompson, Kim (Mark) Kuss; great-grandchildren, Nicole Owens, Tyler Thompson, Justin Thompson and Zachary Kuss; brothers, Jake Teter, Lee (Jean) Teter, Bill (Ann) Teter and Paul (Sandy) Teter. To know her was to love her. She will be missed by many friends and other relatives. "May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sunshine warm upon your face, and the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand." A memorial service will be conducted 4 p.m. Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd.
